Sign up for fitness
It’s clear that studying will take up all your time, but believe me – you will be able to set aside an hour or two for active training. And for this, you need to sign up for fitness (for few people can boast such willpower to do it alone).
Also, you probably have a gym or a gym in the university – no need to go far!
Sign up for another section.
Think outside the box. If you signed up for fitness, do not stop there. Sign up for another section, for example, sports (say, football, volleyball, basketball).
And do not forget about yoga! In order not to get bored, you can change sections every semester. It will help you develop healthy habits and lose weight while everyone else gets fat.
Keep a log of fitness and nutrition always to control your daily routine. Moreover, for this it is not at all necessary to add another notebook to your bag – download the appropriate application to your smartphone! Counting calories, calculating proportions, various fitness programs – now there are so many exciting and useful applications!
Watch out for the drink
Life in the university – it is a party, and this is a direct path to excess weight. And it’s not just junk food. Do not forget to count calories in drinks that you use.
You will be surprised to know how much you are using, just drinking a soda at lunch or deciding to drink a cup of coffee to hold out for boring books for at least an hour.
Go to the store correctly
In a university cafe, there is little use, although a periodic snack will not hurt. Instead of eating hot dumplings, go to the store or the market.
Hold longer in the departments of fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meat or fish. Forget the way in the ranks of junk food, if you are determined to lose weight.
No junk food
Sounds easy, right? But this notorious “junk food” is guilty of most of your extra pounds. Never buy it.
Prohibit yourself drinking soda
No matter how tasty it is, and no matter how well it helps to “open your eyes” for an early lecture on Monday, don’t drink soda! It is full of empty calories.
Even diet soda is full of harmful and potentially dangerous components, so the smartest thing you can do is to remove any Coke from your life once and for all.
Forget about fast food
Yes, it is convenient, yes, it is tasty, especially when you have not eaten anything all day (or returning home after a wild party), but believe me – in fast food there are too many calories. But one full meal is what you need.
Let’s agree: you will forget about fast food at least a couple of semesters! You will lose weight, and you will no longer want to return to it.
Leave pizza for special occasions
Pizza – the culprit of many extra pounds. But we agree – it is too tasty to get rid of it forever. Let’s do this: you will eat pizza only on special occasions! Just, mind you, do not arrange these special cases every week. And no soda or beer!
Find a girlfriend
You have friends who have stayed at home, in a dorm, on Facebook … why not make yourself a couple of slimming friends? They will help you keep motivated and hit your hands when you reach out for something harmful. Besides, playing sports together is so much fun!
Exams are coming, and there is so much information in the brain that you barely remember your name — what calories and diet plans! But health is just as important as learning. Wellbeing and fitness will help to do better and pass exams with excellent.
And the stress will not be so noticeable. Exercise and follow your diet, even if it seems that you do not have time for this.
Don’t forget to sleep
Sleep is an ally not only for good study but also for the health of the body. Scientists have shown that girls who are dieting lose weight faster and easier if they sleep as much as they need. So go ahead – take a nap! Sleep without guilt? Yes, please!
The complaint will change everything
If your uni cafe always serves the same fresh and tasteless food, without salads and fresh fruits, perhaps it is time to complain? Do you pay for your tuition, which means you have the right to vote, right?
Gather caring friends and acquaintances, arrange a small protest … or better write a complaint to the person who runs the cafe.
Try 5 servings
It does not matter whether you want to lose weight in college or after graduation, you must accustom yourself to the simple rule of “five servings.” Five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day – and there is simply no room in the stomach.
In fruits and vegetables a lot of “healthy” calories and nutrients that unhealthy snacks will never give you. Another plus? Cellulose, which will help to get enough and “get” your digestive system.
Get up and go
If it seems to you that you have been stuck to the library chair, forcing you to hang on books without a break, stop this! Get up and move! Go for the printout to the other end of the university, and not to the nearest printer.
Go down to the first floor, and then go back to the third. Stroll through the university park, go to the store at the other end of the block … well, get moving!
In some large universities, students are offered buses for travel. But instead of driving, maybe it makes sense to walk or even go for a run? And do not forget about such a convenient and useful thing as a bicycle! At the worst – videos! You will not only spend more time in the fresh air but also burn calories!
Forget about elevators
Lifts and escalators are everywhere – even at university. And you get into this elevator with other tired students in hoods stretched over their heads.
Let’s go without it? Just climb the stairs. It is simple, but the effect will be amazing … especially if you do it daily. So you will not only keep your legs in good shape and improve blood circulation, but also take another step towards losing weight.
Take sports equipment with you
If you study in another city, do not forget to take with you, among other things, a bag for fitness – sneakers, sweatpants, maybe even dumbbells. You will see them every day and force yourself to engage. Do not give up and you all must succeed!
Losing weight while studying at the university is possible (and sometimes necessary!). The main thing is to know how to do it without harm to health. And no more “plus 5 kilos for the first course!”
