However, over time, this soup diet began to be used by healthy individuals, with the purpose of losing weight quickly and easily. Since there is virtually no food source of carbohydrates and sugars, the Heart Hospital Soup Diet causes more calories to be “burned” than added.
Scholars of this diet recommend not to add too much salt to soup preparation, do not drink alcohol in any way, do not consume soda, energy and fried foods.
Still, it is not recommended to do physical exercises during this period, because the amount of calories and, especially, of carbohydrates is minimal and insufficient for such activity.
If you experience an atypical day, with more intense energy expenditure, or if you feel weakness, dizziness, and headaches, try to consume a cooked potato, a protein shake or a fruit juice.
Heart Hospital Soup Recipe
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 eggplant
- 2 large turnips
- 2 packets of green odor and watercress
- 2 peppers
- 1 large cabbage
- 1 small celery
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 cups chopped pod
- 2 liters broth of vegetables, meat or homemade chicken
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 large jilós
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Method of preparation
Wash and sanitize all vegetables. Cut the vegetables into small pieces and fry the vegetables well. Cook in a pan with water, add the homemade broth of your preference, put the salt and black pepper to taste.
Bring the pan to the high heat and, when it starts to boil, reduce the heat. The preparation time is until the vegetables are very tender.
When the soup is ready, turn off the heat, let it cool and, if you prefer, pour the soup in several pots and refrigerate, avoiding cooking every time you consume the soup.

Diet follow-up for 7 days
1st day: consume all the fruits you wish, except banana and avocado. Take the soup 2 times a day. Drink teas and whole grape juice without adding sugar. Drink water at will;
Day 2: Eat all the fresh vegetables you like, raw or cooked. Vegetables can also be consumed in the same way. At dinner, eat a large baked potato with a little butter. Take the soup whenever you want;
3rd day: eat fruits, vegetables, and vegetables at ease, except potatoes, because it is, in fact, a tuber rich in carbohydrates. Take the soup whenever you feel like it, at least twice a day;
4th day: on this day you can eat up to 8 bananas. Drink glasses of skim milk at will. Take the soup at least 2 times a day.
Banana consumption will decrease the desire for sugar intake and, also, being rich in many vitamins and minerals will aid in the balance of the body that, on this particular day, will be needing these nutrients;
5th day: here it is possible to eat 280 to 400 grams of red or white grilled meat with a portion of fresh tomatoes seasoned with a little salt, lemon and olive oil. Take the soup at least 2 times a day. Intake of 6 to 10 glasses of water during the day is recommended;
Day 6: Eat up to 3 grilled steaks of red or white meat accompanied by cooked vegetables, except potatoes. Take the soup at least 2 times a day. You should drink plenty of fluids: water, teas, unsweetened juices, and coffee;
7th day: it is possible to eat brown rice. Eat cooked (or raw) vegetables at will. Take the soup 2 times a day and drink fluids at will.
